SEMH Teacher

Are you a passionate SEMH Teacher looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join our specialist school and support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role:
  • As an SEMH Teacher, you will plan and deliver tailored lessons to support students with SEMH, ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Work closely with support staff, therapists, and SENCOs to implement individual learning plans and behaviour strategies.
  • The SEMH Teacher will use trauma-informed and restorative approaches to manage behaviour effectively and promote emotional well-being.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, encouraging confidence, resilience, and academic progress.
The Ideal SEMH Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience as an SEMH Teacher.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to support students with emotional and behavioural challenges.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Experience working in an SEN or alternative provision setting is desirable.
