Role Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team in January 2025. The successful candidate will support the classroom teacher and provide specialised assistance to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and delivering tailored learning activities for children with SEND.

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, both in and out of the classroom.

  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with the SEND coordinator.

  • Foster social and emotional development through positive interactions and activities.

  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEND is preferred.

  • Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or SEND support are a plus.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
