Your new companyHays Education are working with a primary school in Southport who are looking for a full-time, long-term teaching assistant to join their team. Your new roleThis role is working in a year 3 class as a general teaching assistant. It will involve supporting the class teacher, managing behaviour, supporting with class work and giving extra support to pupils with complex needs within the classroom. What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this role, you will need a DBS on the update service as well as:
- Previous experience working with children in a school environment (references needed)
- Experience working with children with complex needs
- Good behaviour management skills
- Experience with large group supervision (desirable)
- Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable)
