VTA Recruitment is recruiting a Transport Planner on behalf of our client based in Southport. They provide reliable and responsible waste management solutions for materials including liquids, solids, fuels and chemicals, as well as delivering a range of supporting services. They are fully accredited, offer nationwide coverage, and provide solutions across the following four key areas: Automotive, Marine, Chemical, Industrial & Manufacturing.

As a Transport Planner you will manage the daily operations of the companies’ BULK hazardous waste collection fleet - liquid artic vacuum and GP tankers.

Key Responsibilities/Experience:

  • Qualified and experienced transport planner
  • Forward planning for 15 trucks
  • Communication and driver management skills
  • Data analysis and route planning for multi pick up
  • Economics awareness and efficiency maximisation.
  • Technical Proficiency, using software and proven UK geographic knowledge
  • Ability to precisely analyse data and execute efficient routing
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with drivers, colleagues and customers
  • Able to understand route building and recognise issues and optimise solutions
  • Proven knowledge of transport regulations
  • Able to change and accommodate the daily dynamics of fleet management
  • Skilled in accurate daily reporting
