Your new Company

You will be working at a primary school based in Southport as an Early Years Teaching Assistant. This Bootle primary school is looking for a Level 2 qualified, highly motivated and professional Early Years TA to start as soon as possible.Your new roleThis primary school takes pride in its caring and nurturing environment, with high expectations set by staff of what children can achieve. Preparing children for the next phase of their education and life beyond school is a key part of their ethos.The main responsibilities are to:

  • Assist the nursery teacher with planning and implementing educational activities.
  • Support children's learning and development through play and structured activities.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Provide personal care for children, including feeding, changing nappies, and assisting with toilet training.
  • Observe and record children's progress and report to the nursery teacher.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and social interactions amongst children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers about their child's development and any concerns.
  • Assist with setting up and tidying away equipment and resources.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
