Sefton Council is looking for a talented and experienced Social Worker to join our Learning Disability & Autism Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals who have complex needs, providing them with high-quality support and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals with learning disabilities and autism to identify their needs and develop personalized support plans.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for individuals.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals and their families during challenging times.
- Advocate for the rights and interests of individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative and effective services.
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work qualification (BA or MA)
- Significant experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and autism
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of individuals with complex needs
