VTA Recruitment is recruiting a Transport Planner on behalf of our client based in Southport that specialises in the safe removal and disposal of waste from the motor trade. With extensive experience, they specialise in providing efficient and reliable waste management solutions tailored specifically to garages of all sizes. They offer comprehensive services to collect, recycle, and safely dispose of various waste materials commonly generated in garages.

As a Transport Planner you will manage the daily operations of the companies automotive hazardous waste collection fleet - liquids/rigid tankers and curtain solid/packaged products in bulk and containers.

Working within the operations team reporting to the transport manager.

Key Responsibilities/Experiance:

  • Qualified and experienced transport planner
  • Forward planning for 15 trucks
  • Communication and driver management skills
  • Data analysis and route planning for multi pick up
  • Economics awareness and efficiency maximisation.
  • Technical Proficiency, using software and proven UK geographic knowledge
  • Ability to precisely analyse data and execute efficient routing
  • Communication skills, ability to interact with drivers, colleagues and customers
  • Able to understand route building and recognise issues and optimise solutions
  • Proven knowledge of transport regulations
  • Able to change and accommodate the daily dynamics of fleet management
  • Skilled in accurate daily reporting
