Prospero Teaching are currently looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-respected school in Southsea, Portsmouth. This position offers the opportunity to work with an experienced team in a supportive environment where students' needs are prioritised and valued.

About the Role:As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs, helping to deliver an inclusive and effective learning experience. Your responsibilities will include working closely with class teachers to support students' academic and personal development, assisting with classroom management, and helping to implement bespoke learning plans that cater to individual needs.

Contract Details:

  • Location: Southsea, Portsmouth
  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Type of Work: Long-Term Role
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • End Date: Ongoing (until the end of the academic year)
  • Hours: Full-Time, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Pay Rate: £85.09 to £110.00 per day

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is preferred
  • A passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach to teaching and learning
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (issued within the last year)
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to process a new one)

Eligibility:

  • Must have the right to work in the UK
  • Two professional, child-related references
