Trainee Fire Alarm Engineer

We are offering a fully funded training programme to prepare you for the EAL Level 3 Award in the Requirements of Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems for Buildings. This role will suit someone who is self-motivated, responsible, can communicate effectively, and understands the importance of maintenance on life safety equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist in the planned maintenance and repairs of fire alarms, emergency lighting, and associated equipment.
  • To support qualified engineers and gain practical experience on site.
  • To learn and adhere to British Standards and industry best practices.
  • To develop skills in fault finding, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 21 years old.
  • Enthusiastic, practically minded, and keen to learn.
  • A responsible attitude towards safety-critical systems.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to achieve a first-time fix when faced with problems.

Training and Development:

  • Full in-house training provided by experienced engineers.
  • Preparation for the EAL Level 3 Award in the Requirements of Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems for Buildings.

Additional Information:

  • A clean driving licence is required (except minor speeding offences).
  • Company vehicle provided upon completion of training and proven competence.
