Position Overview:The Logistics Operative/ Co-ordinator is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of fuel deliveries, and ensuring compliance with ADR (European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road) regulations. This role involves working within a team of logistics operatives and wider Operations Team ensuring that all logistics activities are carried out smoothly and efficiently and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HGV Coordination: Schedule and manage HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) operations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
  • Fuel Deliveries: Oversee the planning and execution of fuel deliveries, ensuring accurate and safe handling of fuel.
  • ADR Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with ADR regulations, including proper documentation and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Supervision: Assist in supervising and coordinating the activities of logistics operatives, offering guidance and support as necessary.
  • Admin Duties: A significant portion of the role will involve administrative tasks, including organizing documents, coordinating with customs, and assisting with customs procedures. You will be responsible for sending the required documentation to customs and ensuring clear communication with customs personnel to resolve any issues.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have/Be:

  • Qualifications in logistics or supply chain management are advantageous.
  • Significant experience in logistics operations, with some supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of ADR regulations and compliance requirements.
  • ADR certification for handling hazardous materials is highly desirable.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well under pressure.
  • Proactive with a problem-solving mindset.
