Our retained client is looking for a senior sous chef for their small luxury hotel near to the Suffolk coast.
The venue
This hotel is a favourite for locals and tourists, they currently have 20 bedrooms and 2 restaurants. The ala carte restaurant caters up to 80 guests and there is also seating in the public bar area for 30 guests. Afternoon tea is also very poplar at this venue.
Their menus are prepared from fresh ingredients sourced locally and dishes are prepared up to a 2AA rosette standard.
As a Sous Chef you will be required to work 5 days a week. The Sous Chef will be a senior member of the kitchen team, working closely and reporting to their talented Head Chef.
Main duties will include preparation and maintenance of high-quality food in accordance with company standards, food margins and daily organisation of all sections in the kitchen
The successful Sous Chef must have the ability to work unsupervised, well organised, ambitious, and creative.
Experience in a two-rosette background or higher is desirable but not essential.
You must be able to lead and develop a team of chefs for this role.
Salary negotiable dependent upon experience and expertise.
Own transport essential due to location.
