We are seeking a Multi Skilled Engineering Technician to join our clients dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven technician, with expertise in electrical and mechanical disciplines, to take on a key role in maintaining and optimising production machinery and equipment in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
The RoleAs an Engineering Technician, youll be responsible for both reactive and preventative maintenance, ensuring that site machinery is running smoothly and efficiently. Youll work a 40-hour week on a rotating double shift pattern.
You will be working in a collaborative team environment where you will not only maintain equipment but also identify areas for improvement and play an integral part in continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on automated machinery.
- Document all maintenance work using a computerised maintenance management system.
- Provide technical advice, support during breakdowns, and improving maintenance practices.
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance plans to minimise downtime, breakdowns and enhance machinery efficiency.
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring team members are trained on new processes.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and food safety regulations, including BRC standards.
- Support continuous improvement projects and the creation of Safe Working Procedures within the Engineering Department.
- NVQ Level 3 multi-skilled apprenticeship (electrically biased).
- Experience working with PLC and SCADA control systems (Mitsubishi, Siemens, Rockwell, Fanuc).
- FMCG experience, ideally within the food sector, (desirable).
- Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques is advantageous.
