Rate Of Pay: £11.55-£12.00 per hour (Based on experience)

Shift Patterns: 37.5 hours per week

Information about the Role:

Working as a Cook / Chef at White Windows your duties will include the following:

· Creating, preparing, and cooking fresh, nutritious and varied meals for our residents including those who may require modified or special diets.

· Ensuring preparation and presentation is always to a high standard.

· planning meals and consulting with residents and care staff to ensure that individual dietary needs and preferences are catered for.

· Some responsibility for ordering, checking in and controlling supplies.

· Working as part of a diverse staff team.

· Opportunities to influence the menu and the dining experience of those within our care. (quarterly review of menus)

· Ensuring that the dining experience is positive.

· Ensuring that the kitchen standards are maintained in line with the Safer Food Better Business requirements.

· To prepare and present food to a high standard and quality.

· To ensure that you work within an agreed budget.

Information about the Service:

White Windows is a wheelchair accessible residential home providing support and accommodation for up to 25 individuals who have a physical disability or neurological condition.

We support individuals who may have cerebral palsy, an acquired brain injury or stroke, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida or hydrocephalus, as well as individuals living with Parkinson’s or Huntington’s Diseases.

Our dedicated team of highly skilled and trained support workers and carers have experience with PEG/NG care, wound management and the provision of end of life care. We provide support including personal care, health and well being, rehabilitation, community engagement, enablement and volunteering or activities.

Necessary Experience or Qualifications to work as a Cook / Chef:

· The right candidate will have a real passion for Cooking.

· Relevant experience in a similar setting working as a Chef or Cook.

· Ability to work on shift/rota pattern, including some weekends.

· Have the right to the work in the UK.

· Excellent organisation skills.

· Working knowledge of the Safe Food Better Business requirements.

· Ability to work well under pressure.
