A leading supplier of PVC compounds, used in nearly all areas of plastic processing is looking for a night-shift Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure all machines are maintained safely & efficiently, in accordance with all legislation and legal responsibilities. Along with a salary of up to £45,000 per annum, you will receive a range of benefits including access to an onsite canteen, a pension scheme, free onsite parking and life insurance. You will be working night shifts, 22:00-06:00, with overtime available. As Electrical Maintenance Engineer, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Dealing with machine breakdowns to ensure that the site can maximise throughput and meet customer demand.
  • Reactive, proactive and planned maintenance across a wide range of factory equipment to support plant uptime.
  • Maintaining site services and facilities.
  • Focussing on saving cost on maintenance work and contributes to cost reduction initiatives.
  • Planning and managing individual and team projects.
  • Ensuring Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards are adhered to including the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001
We’re looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer with:
  • Strong practical and legal knowledge of Mechanical engineering/maintenance
  • Level 3 electrical engineering qualification or equivalent
  • Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of extrusion, mixing & blending machines is advantageous but not essential.
  • An understanding of product and process quality requirements and how machine condition impacts on these.
  • Knowledge and the ability to apply the techniques of Planned Preventative & Total Productive, Maintenance to improve machine condition, improve product quality and reduce downtime.
  • The ability to read engineering drawings.
