Finance Analyst | Spalding

A leading name in the fresh produce industry, known for their commitment to excellence, strategic growth, and fostering an inclusive culture.

Key responsibilities:

As Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for providing detailed financial analysis of the business units, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Your insights will be crucial in aiding decision-making for capital investments, operational efficiencies, strategic direction, and pricing models. There will be key relationships across other business functions including commercial, supply chain, operations as well as external suppliers and contractors.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Prepare financial models and presentations as required.
  • Manage project expenditure against budgeted financials.
  • Deliver timely and accurate information to management teams in the business units to facilitate effective decision-making.
  • Perform real-time analysis of labour, yield per square meter over time, sales by unit, and yield on purchased crop.
  • Conduct real-time analysis of labour, percentage cut, yield, sales, and seed requirements.
  • Develop future pricing models based on specifications, external factors, and real-time data.
  • Benchmark various business units and the group as a whole against the sector and direct competitors.

Is this you?

  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize a busy workload.
  • Excellent communication skills, assertiveness, and the ability to work across various disciplines.
  • Commercially minded with strong administrative and financial skills.
  • Ability to provide proactive support to our senior management team and board.
  • Ideally, part or fully qualified in ACCA/CIMA (study support may be considered).

There will be an opportunity to step into a Financial Controller position within the near future as well as further progression within the business after that. This is a Monday to Friday (8:30 - 17:00) role with the opportunity to work from home two days a week post training.
