Job Title: Invigilator
Location: Spalding
Salary: £90-£110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start time: ASAP
Hours: Seasonal (Mock exams and Summer exams)
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
"Are you looking for flexible, seasonal work within schools?" If so, GSL Education are seeking dedicated and reliable Invigilators to join a team supporting schools in Spalding during their mock exams and summer exams. This role offers a great opportunity to work in a school setting while providing vital support to students during exam periods.
As an Invigilator, you will be responsible for overseeing exams, ensuring that they are conducted in accordance with the school's policies and procedures. You will ensure that students are seated correctly, follow the exam rules, and maintain a quiet and focused environment throughout the exam period. This is a seasonal role with the potential to work additional hours as a Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor with the relevant training provided.
Responsibilities of the Invigilator:
- Supervise students during exam sessions, ensuring they follow all rules and regulations.
- Ensure exam papers and materials are distributed correctly and securely.
- Monitor students for any signs of cheating or misconduct during the exam.
- Provide any necessary support to students with additional needs, in accordance with school policy.
- Maintain a calm and quiet atmosphere throughout the exam.
- Report any incidents or irregularities during the exam to the Exam Officer.
Requirements of the Invigilator:
- Previous experience in an educational setting (desirable but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy exam environment.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
