As a Picker Packer, you will be responsible for picking products from the warehouse shelves according to order specifications, packing them securely, and preparing them for shipment. Accuracy, speed, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery.
- Pick Orders: Retrieve products from shelves or storage locations based on customer orders. Use scanners or pick lists to identify the correct items and quantities.
- Pack Items: Safely and efficiently pack products in appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit. Ensure products are packed according to company guidelines and customer specifications.
- Inspect Products: Check items for defects or damages before packing, ensuring only high-quality items are shipped.
- Label Packages: Label packages correctly with shipping information, barcodes, and order details to ensure proper tracking and delivery.
- Assist in restocking shelves and organizing products in the warehouse to maintain an orderly and efficient workspace.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Use protective equipment as necessary.
- Document any discrepancies in orders, inventory counts, or damaged items. Report issues to supervisors or management.
- Work closely with other team members to meet daily order fulfilment targets and maintain warehouse efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy boxes for long periods.
- Accuracy in picking, packing, and labelling orders.
- Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, retail, or logistics environment is a plus but not required.
Working Conditions:
- May require working in a noisy, temperature-controlled, or high-paced environment.
- Shifts 4 on 4 off / Night shift
- Pay rate: £13.42/ hour
- OT after 45 hours
