  • Henderson Brown is seeking an IT Support Engineer to provide day-to-day support of desktop applications and IT systems across various UK sites, primarily based in Spalding.

Job Title: IT Support EngineerLocation: Spalding Salary : £30,000 plus £500 a week on call bonus approx. 1 week per month Henderson Brown is delighted to be partnering with a major player within food manufacturing who are seeking an IT Support Engineer. This role offers day-to-day support of desktop applications and IT systems across various UK sites, primarily based in Spalding . The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus. Tasks will be varied, ranging from deskside and basic 2/3rd Line Support to project work, providing a hands-on environment to develop IT skills across a wide range of technologies.A current driving license is required for on-site support, sometimes at unsociable hours, with travel to other sites as needed.Responsibilities but not limited to * Adhere to IT Systems Policies and Procedures* Resolve helpdesk requests in a timely manner and to agreed SLAs* Maintain daily backup processes* Support Microsoft Desktop & Server Operating Systems* Monitor and support a Windows 2016 Hyper-V environment* Perform desktop software maintenance, including installations, patching, and upgrades* Conduct hardware and software audits* Provide hardware support for desktops, laptops, and various printers* Troubleshoot network issues* Respond to critical out-of-hours support issues* Plan and relocate IT equipment for different trading periodsThe ideal candidate will have * Experience troubleshooting Microsoft desktop operating systems* Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel* Knowledge of troubleshooting networked devices (PCs, laptops, printers, etc.)* Good knowledge of Office365 administration and management* Basic understanding of networking (LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructure)Desirable Skills* Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure* Good understanding of a Windows Server environment* Basic knowledge of SQL administration/backup processesWorking HoursStandard 40-hour week with additional hours required during peak trading times and for essential out-of-hours maintenance. Out-of-hours support will be required on a rota basis, with an allowance paid for this coverage.Please apply now for more information
