Job Overview:

As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations in our client's chilled warehouse. Your responsibility will be to lead a diverse team, drive productivity, and ensure adherence to health and safety procedures. With your strong leadership skills and experience in warehouse management, you'll be a key player in maintaining smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage warehouse staff during 12-hour shifts, maintaining operational flow and productivitySupervise and motivate a cross-generational workforce, fostering effective communication and collaborationConfidently oversee the use of Powered Pallet Trucks (PPT) in daily warehouse tasksEnsure accurate and timely stock management, meeting customer delivery expectationsEnforce health and safety regulations, conducting regular checks, and addressing any risks or hazards promptlyTrack and report on KPIs to ensure targets are metQuickly and effectively solve operational issues to minimise disruptionsProvide coaching and training to team members, encouraging a positive work cultureAct as a key point of contact between warehouse operatives and senior management, ensuring clear and consistent communication

Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership roleValid PPT Licence and strong experience in operating pallet trucksExcellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse teamOutstanding communication skills, both verbal and writtenKnowledge of warehouse operations, stock control, and health & safety regulationsAbility to remain calm under pressure and solve problems efficientlyCompetency with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous

Working Conditions:

Chilled warehouse environment12-hour shifts, 4 days on, 4 days off (6am to 6pm)Physical role requiring manual handling and use of warehouse equipment
