I'm working with a highly successful, family-owned food and farming business that's looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the Packaging and Processing side of the business! Specialising in the growing and packing of fresh produce, this business is renowned for its quality and innovation in farming practices.

About the Role

As the sole night shift engineer, you'll play a crucial role in keeping the packaging machinery running smoothly, ensuring potato production continues uninterrupted until morning. With the freedom to prioritize tasks and develop your skills, this role offers plenty of opportunities for growth. The site is equipped with a variety of machinery, from packaging lines to metal detectors, keeping each shift dynamic and hands-on. If you enjoy problem-solving and working independently in a fast-paced environment, this role is perfect for you.

Key Duties

Our client is looking for an experienced Engineer to:

  • Maintain, service, and repair machinery used in the washing, grading, and packaging of potatoes.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues to minimise downtime and ensure smooth operations.
  • Implement preventative maintenance schedules to optimise productivity.
  • Collaborate with production teams to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
