Production Manager

We are seeking a Production Manager to lead our production facility, ensuring efficient processes, high-quality output, and adherence to safety standards.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the production facility, ensuring efficient processes and high-quality output.
- Coordinate resources, manage staff, and optimise production schedules to meet deadlines while focusing on continuous improvement of quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of leadership within the production facility, supporting Team Leaders to provide guidance and create a productive working environment.
- Conduct training and performance evaluations to ensure a skilled and adaptable production team.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of production processes, ensuring timely and efficient production schedules.
- Drive quality assurance, maintaining quality guidelines to ensure all products meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage stock levels through continuous feedback to procurement, ensuring smooth order flow.
- Implement and adhere to a robust preventative maintenance plan to minimise downtime.
- Assist in the preparation and management of production budgets, monitoring expenses and seeking cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and promote a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure production objectives are aligned with company objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a production management role, preferably in a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in production management software and tools.
- Experience using technical/bespoke IT systems.
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
- Process-driven and methodical with ambition to develop production methodologies in line with best practice.
- Good knowledge and user experience with Microsoft Office package.
