Job Summary:

We are seekingdedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will provide personalised support to individuals aged 18-65 who require assistance with daily living tasks, social activities, and personal care. Your role will involve building strong relationships with our service users and empowering them to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to individuals with disabilities, mental health conditions, and other complex needs
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Encourage and support individuals to engage in social activities, hobbies, and interests
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals
  • Record accurate and comprehensive notes of support provided
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and supervision to ensure best practice and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are in place

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Support Worker or in a similar role.
  • A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to empathise.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards, safeguarding, risk assessments & report writing.
  • Holds a valid Manual Handling certificate (Preferred)
  • Has a minimum of 12 months experienceand/or holds a suitable social care qualification.
  • A DBS on the update service or happy to obtain one
