Chef de Partie / Station Chef - Training Ground

We are seeking a passionate and dependable Chef to join our team, preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for professional athletes. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will take charge of the daily kitchen operations at our training ground, ensuring that food standards and hygiene are upheld to the highest levels.

About the Chef Role:

  • Hours: 30 hours per week, across 4-5 days (8am to 3pm), plus matchdays. Working days align with the players' schedule, typically Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with variations based on match schedules.
  • Location: Primarily based at the training ground, with occasional support needed at the main stadium.
  • Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 annually (based on experience), with flexible scheduling to average 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities for Chef:

  • Lead the preparation and cooking of balanced meals tailored to the dietary needs of our athletes.
  • Innovatively manage a limited budget to produce quality meals within constraints.
  • Work independently, maintaining a high standard of kitchen hygiene and self-management.
  • Collaborate with first-team staff to design diverse, nutritious menus.
  • Assist in sourcing and managing kitchen supplies, focusing on minimizing waste.

About You:

  • A positive, can-do attitude, with a people-friendly approach.
  • Experience in a professional kitchen, ideally with knowledge of dietary needs for athletes.
  • Strong ability to work solo, with effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and support on matchdays as needed.
