THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group is recruiting for a fabrication business based in the North East. This company specialises in producing bespoke products for various industries and conducts installation projects across the UK, predominantly in the food and drinks industry.
You’ll be joining a close-knit, growing team, where your contribution will be highly visible. The role offers a great mix of workshop and site-based work, ideal for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship.
THE ROLE
- Lead Site Hand – Sheet Metalworker/Fabricator
- High-standard TIG/MIG welding
- Fabrication, maintenance, and installation projects both in the workshop and on customer sites
- Ability to lead small teams on-site
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- High-quality workmanship with small tolerances
- Responsible for self-checking the quality of work
THE PERSON
Essential:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sheet metalwork/fabrication
- Strong TIG/MIG welding skills
- Experience working on customer sites
- Familiarity with general fabrication workshop equipment
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings
Desirable:
- Experience in the food and drinks industry
- Forklift license
