Electrical Project Engineer – St Albans

Temporary to Permanent after 3 months

Monday to Friday

£40k to £50k depending on experience

Day to day roles and responsibilities:

  • Oversee Projects from the receipt of the contract through to installation and commissioning
  • Manage all commercial and technical aspects of the projects
  • Communicate effectively with clients and their representatives
  • Attend site meetings with clients and their representatives to discuss project progress and resolve issues
  • Collaborate with suppliers to determine the suitability of electrical components for specific projects
  • Work closely with the company’s draughting engineers and production team to ensure project requirements are met
  • Ability to design electrical control schematic diagrams

The required electrical project engineer will require:

  • Proven experience in the design of LV switchgear and package sub stations
  • Familiarity with components such as protection relays and power factor correction equipment
  • Experience in designing electrical control and monitory systems
  • Ability to create and interpret electrical schematic diagrams
  • Ability to use CAD proficiently for electrical design purposes
  • Previous experience as an Electrical Project Engineer is a must
