Vision for Education are seeking experienced Teaching Assistants to join a dedicated and dynamic team in a SEND provision. The role will entail working in a specialist provision in St Austell, supporting small groups of students as well as 1:1. Within the role, you will offer academic, social, emotional and mental support to the young person. This specialist setting, offer learning and opportunities to children with varying Special Educational Needs and as a Teaching Assistant, you will promote this learning. The children you will be working with may have ASC, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD and may require personal care, however this wouldn’t be your responsibility until after full training is provided.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEND Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Have the ability to work with a wide range of children with complex additional needs.
  • Have patience and empathy.
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant
  • SEND experience is desirable
  • Be able to work collaboratively, building positive professional relationships.
  • Be resilient, flexible and enthusiastic.

This role is to cover a Maternity and will run until the end of the academic year, 5 days per week where additional CPD will be offered. You must be looking to commit to do this.
