My client, an award winning hotel and resort operation in St Ives are currently looking to recruit an experienced Chef de Partie to join their team. This is an immediat start for the right candidate.

It is anticipated that the position of Chef de Partie will be undertaken over five working days out of seven and that the minimum hours of work will be 40 within each working week. A flexible approach to work is required as the Company operates a variety of shift patterns to suit the needs and demands of the business as well as the operational; efficiency of the kitchen.

Duties and Responsibilities to include:

Work with the Executive & Head Chefs to maintain high standards in the quality of food both as to its preparation and its presentation o

Work in all area of the kitchen depending on the daily needs of the Executive Head Chef o Ensure that at all times food items for the restaurant are prepared on time and meet both quality and quantity standards

o Observe all Company Food Hygiene and Health & Safety Policy

o Ensure freshness and suitability of products used by the section and that they are stored properly.

o Assist the Head Chefs to check the completeness of all suppliers' deliveries and the correctness of their delivery notes and invoices

o Ensure that cost control policies and procedures are followed o Maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas, including refrigerators and freezers

o Reports any equipment on the section which needs repair or maintenance o Establish and maintain effective employee relations.

o Inform on a daily basis the Department head on all relevant information on operational matters o Undertake any relevant staff training deemed appropriate o Undertake any other duties deemed appropriate by the Executive or Head Chefs
