Are you a talented Mechanical Design Engineer seeking a fresh challenge?

We are looking for a passionate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client, a leader in heavy rotating equipment manufacturing. In this role, you'll work on exciting new projects within the heavy rotating equipment sector, as well as enhance existing designs.

If you thrive on solving complex problems and pushing engineering boundaries, this opportunity is perfect for you. This role also offers great development opportunities. Within five years, you could progress into a Lead Engineer position. It's a fantastic chance to grow your career and take on more responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine design solutions from initial concepts to completion, utilising Finite Element Analysis (FEA) techniques where necessary.
  • Create detailed manufacturing drawings, including assembly instructions and final design specifications.
  • Oversee product realisation, ensuring manufacturing processes are optimized for the best design outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate product build definitions and manage the component database.
  • Approve engineering changes and handle concessions for nonconforming products.
  • Address in-service product safety incidents, conducting risk analyses and preparing closure reports.
  • Investigate product failures in service and compile comprehensive failure reports.


Required Experience:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or at least 3 years of relevant experience with rotating or heavy engineering products.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD). Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor is a plus but not mandatory.
