Quality, Safety and Environmental Officer

KAP Technical is working with an engineering company offering a manufacturing and installation service to many high-tech industries and has built its reputation on 30 years of quality and service. The company is ISO9001 and CHAS accredited and is in the progress of gaining ISO14001 certification. A small team is already in place to deal with our day-to-day quality, H&S and environmental matters, supported by an external consultant. We are looking for a team leader to head these activities bringing a hands-on, flexible and proactive approach. The position would suit a graduate with relevant qualifications or someone already working within the industry looking for a leadership role.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and implement the Quality, H&S and Environmental Management Systems.
  • To work with the existing team to enhance and embellish existing practices
  • Conducting internal safety, environmental and quality audits and then working with staff to address non-conformances and to implement opportunities for improvement.
  • Establishing quality and safety metrics for product and service excellence.
  • Leading the development and implementation of policies and programs that ensure product compliance with external and internal standards.
  • Facilitating training sessions for employees on quality improvement and safety practices.
  • Monitoring ongoing performance and quality control systems to ensure products meet consumer expectations and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
