A specialist manufacturer of highly precision machined parts and components, offering end to end manufacturing from Concept to Production, for a varied client base working within diverse industry sectors.
Investing heavily in state-of-the-art CNC Machine tools, Quality Control equipment and staff development year on year with £1.5m being invested last year alone.

Job Profile
Due to continued growth, expansion and investment, there is now a position available for an experienced Quality Manager with a background in the Precision Engineering sector, able to manage the Quality department, and a team of 7 Quality Inspectors, measuring precision machined parts and components with various measuring equipment including manual measuring equipment and CMMs for a varied client base.

Duties:
  • Customer Facing (open door policy for customers)
  • Dealing with BSI & customer audits
  • Adhering to AS9100 and ISO9001 accreditations
  • Able to work with a large client base and different customers
  • Route Core Analysis (RCA)
  • Customer Non-Conformance Reports (NCARs)
  • Supplier Non-Conformance Reports (SCARs)
  • Continuous Improvement activities

Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of a subcontract, precision machining environment (ideally for the Aerospace and Defence sectors) being a specialist precision engineering / CNC machining facility, you will need to have experience of working in a subcontract environment and working knowledge of AS accreditations (AS9100).
  • Customer facing as the Quality Manager you will be working with a large customer base and therefor need to be able to deal with a lot of different clients.
  • Experienced with Manual & CMM measuring equipment for precision machined parts & components.
  • Able to program & operate CMMs (Aberlink would be ideal but not essential).
  • Experience of working with manual measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers, gauges and calipers.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Hours:
  • 41.5hrs per week
  • 8am to 5pm Mon to Thursday
  • 8am to 4pm Friday
