The ideal candidate will be qualified (ACA,ACCA,CIMA) with several years PQE. A hands-on finance professional who can hit the ground running, taking immediate responsibility for managing the financial and management accounting functions of the business. You will oversee a small finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Director, and ensuring the production of accurate, timely financial information.Responsabilities will include:
  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Manage the production of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, with detailed commentary on variances and trends.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to ensure alignment with operational targets.
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed management reports, providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all journals, accruals, and prepayments are accurately posted.
  • Analyze and review key financial data such as overheads, cost of goods sold, and variances from budget, providing actionable insights for operational teams
  • Perform regular cost analysis on manufacturing expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure that all production costs, including labor, materials, and overheads, are accurately accounted for in financial reports.
  • Work closely with operations to understand cost drivers and help implement strategies to improve cost control.
