Teaching Assistant Wanted in St. Albans

Are you seeking a Teaching Assistant position to support children's development? Do you love helping children?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant in St. Albans. In this role, you will support children of all ages, particularly those with social, emotional, and mental health needs. Patience and the ability to build strong relationships with students are essential, especially when working with those who exhibit challenging behaviour.

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is not required, but you should have some professional experience with children and a general understanding of the role.

The Role:

  • As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students with SEND to help them achieve their developmental milestones.
  • Collaborate with staff to create an engaging and stimulating learning environment.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive atmosphere for all children.
  • Provide support for children with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Requirements:

  • Available to work 08:30 to 16:00, Monday to Friday.
  • Recent experience with children in a school or similar environment is preferred; general experience with children in the UK is essential.
  • Experience with SEND children is beneficial, or a willingness to work with those with SEND.
  • A Child Only enhanced DBS is required (or you must be willing to apply).
