Deputy Care Home Manager (Non-Clinical)

£36,000 per annum

Full Time 40hrs - to include weekends & on call on rota.

A super medium sized residential/dementia care home Good rated is seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Care Home Manager to work closely with the Home Manager to manage and support the care team to deliver person centred care to our residents.

You will be supported by 2 assistant managers and manage a stable and committed team of carers

You will:

Provide day-to-day care support and guidance to the team, promoting residents independence, choice, and dignity.

Care Plan Management:

Collaborate with the team to create and update individual electronic care plans for the residents.

Maintain clear accurate and up to date electronic records and medication records.

Efficiently manage rotas to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained.

Ensure the correct staffing levels through effective rota management.

Develop lasting relationships with residents and their families.

Foster a sense of community within the home.


Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Previous experience of working as a Deputy Manager within a care home environment with a genuine commitment to adhering to CQC standards and expanding your professional development
  • An effective communicator whos able to build strong and honest relationships with residents and their families.
  • You will be a natural leader, someone whos ready to share your care experience leading and mentoring a team, able to delegate effectively and promote excellent customer service and relationships.
  • Someone with excellent time management who can effectively prioritise their workload.
  • A respectful and compassionate team player with the belief in giving your personal best.
  • You will be proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge and experience in electronic care planning is highly desirable.
