General Manager – “Large leisure Venue”

Location – Hertfordshire

Salary: £55,000 + Bonus

To ensure that the venue, services & Areas meet the requirements of the company operating standards and customers. Accountability for maintaining membership levels of capacity whilst driving associated secondary spends, particularly casual food & beverage. You will be responsible for All resources are deployed in an efficient, cost effective and safe manner within your area. Work alongside other area support managers to drive success and profits.

  • Responsible for the running entire venue operations and all associated areas within the leisure venue, hospitality, kitchen, stores, back of house, bars/events, and the vending when applicable.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with the members driving membership and retention.
  • Have a good understanding of our online CRMs, ensuring your teams are trained.
  • Ensure all ordering & storage, production and service of all food and beverages, vending, light equipment, disposable and cleaning materials, meet the company standard.
  • Ensure all marketing and promotions are being displayed in line with the company request and marketing planner.
  • Maintain an active role with the Head of Sales and the marketing team in order S&M priorities are focused.
  • Take an active role in managing Infusionsoft as a performance tool.
    • Review Net Promoter Score comments on a daily basis contacting ‘detractors' within a minimum of 48 hours taking appropriate action to resolve customer feedback.
  • Take full responsibility for the strategic positioning and development of the business. This should include quarterly competitive marketing analysis culminating in the General Manager being able to clearly define business plans and priorities to the Operations Director
  • Recruitment, induction, organisation, of the management team.
  • Complete training appraisals, & any disciplinary issues that may arise.
  • Use of till data to manage and reduce labour costs wherever possible
