Registered Mental Health Nurse Job profile:

In conjunction with other members of the management team, to lead in the development and implementation of CAMHS WEST providing a high quality service to meet the needs of children and young people with mental illness, and their carers. To ensure the continued efficient and effective management of the team, providing leadership and supervision to a multi-disciplinary staff group.

Job Responsibilities for aRegistered Mental Health Nurse

The post holder will act in support of the CAMHS Community Manager, deputising and carrying out delegated roles, duties and responsibilities as required, as part of the Management structure

This post-holder will carry shared responsibility for leading CAMHS WEST.

In addition to providing a wide range of specialist psychosocial skills within the CAMHS community care in support of staff, you will provide formal and informal education and training to other members of the team, other disciplines and teams.

CAMHS WEST clinicians undertake choice assessments of children and young people and where appropriate provide therapeutic interventions, medical, nursing or social care support.

Under your supervision and support staff will be delivering full assessments of care needs and risk assessment of patients across the 0-18 age range presenting with a wide variety of clinical conditions.

Knowledge and Skills Framework:

The Registered Mental Health Nursewill be expected to meet the requirements of the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF) appropriate outline for the post.
