Our client is a well-established specialist contractor providing expert services across the lift and escalator industry. With a strong reputation for quality, technical expertise, and customer service, they work on a wide range of projects, including new installations, modernisation, and maintenance. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team of three, based in their modern Welham Green office. Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Job Overview

  • Assisting with cost management and financial reporting across multiple projects.
  • Supporting subcontractor procurement, valuations, and payments.
  • Preparing and reviewing cost estimates, variations, and final accounts.
  • Assisting with contract administration and dispute resolution processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure commercial success.
  • Preparing reports and supporting senior colleagues in commercial negotiations.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Job Requirements

  • Degree, HND, or HNC in Quantity Surveying or Construction (or working towards).
  • Open to recent graduates or those with some industry experience.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of construction contracts and financial management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Based within commutable distance of Welham Green.
