Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to make your mark on impactful projects? Our client are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our team a main contractor with a diverse portfolio of projects across the Health, Rail, and Education sectors.

About:

Our client is a well-established main contractor, known for delivering high-quality construction projects throughout the London and the South East. With a focus on the Health, Rail, and Education sectors, their projects range from £500k to £10 million, providing a variety of challenges and opportunities for professional growth.

Role Overview:

As a Quantity Surveyor you will play a crucial role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of their projects. Youll ensure that their projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement:Manage procurement processes, including the evaluation of tenders and the negotiation of contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Financial Reporting:Prepare and submit interim valuations, variations, and final accounts, ensuring projects remain on budget.
  • Contract Management:Administer contracts and manage variations to the contract, ensuring that any changes are financially justified and documented.
  • Project Monitoring:Work closely with project teams to monitor project progress and control costs, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Liaison:Maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Risk Management:Identify potential financial risks and provide advice on mitigation strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the Health, Rail, or Education sectors.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
