Supply Chain Specialist

Do you have a drive and desire to want to learn and grow within a procurement/supply chain environment?

My client, based in St. Albans, is looking for a highly motivated supply chain specialist to join their growing team.

You will be responsible for the full process from processing the order to receipting the goods in the warehouse and packaging them up ready for the engineering team to deliver the jobs on time and within budget.

As the role develops you will be able to pre programme and technically support the field-based team with the technology equipment used.

This role also provides a pathway for career advancement in Procurement and Supply through a CIPS apprenticeship.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve issues.
  • Manage the inventory levels to ensure that supplies are maintained at adequate levels both in the warehouse and engineering van stock.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Process returns for faulty or unwanted items and ensure the returns are processed within the required timeframes.
  • Ensuring the warehouse is clean & tidy and complies with health & safety regulations.
  • Configure and pre-program technology systems ready for the engineering team on site to install.
  • Ensure all pre-programmed equipment is tested and verified for accuracy and has the most up to date firmware/software.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role/related field
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
  • Strong IT Skills including all Microsoft applications
  • Great telephone manner
  • High levels of self-motivation
