This is a sales role. If that word alone doesn’t interest you, best stop reading now.

You’ll be looking after some national retail accounts - the ones already onboard. But you’ll also be expected to spot gaps, upsell, and stop things going wrong before they actually do. Some of these accounts will need regular babysitting. Others will be more hands-off. You’ll figure out which is which fairly quickly.

You’ll also need to know your way around numbers. Forecasting. Stock. Orders. The usual stuff that gets missed when people are only focused on "relationships".

Speaking of which - you’ll need to be good with people. Not in a "win a popularity contest" kind of way. Just smart enough to read the room and not make things worse. You’ll be the link between the customers, hauliers, internal teams, and whatever else pops up. Sometimes things will go wrong. Your job is to make sure they don’t stay that way.

There’s some new product work involved, so if you enjoy launching something new and seeing it land well, you’ll like that part. You’ll also be supporting the retail team - doing bits like dropping orders onto the system, watching forecasts, and helping keep everything ticking along.

You’ll need experience in sales. Not theoretical, not just "watching others do it" - actual sales experience where you were accountable for results. Account management experience helps too, ideally with the bigger retailers. You’ll need to be sharp, reliable, and have a decent amount of commercial common sense.

This isn’t a stepping-stone role. It’s for someone who wants to own a patch, grow it, and be part of something with momentum. The Retail Director will have your back, but they won’t be holding your hand.

If you like the sound of that, apply now!
