SEN Teaching Assistant

Do you have experience working with children? Are you passionate about Education? Do you want to make a real difference? We are seeking a dedicated and committed person to join a school in the St Austell area to support SEN students. The role is varied and requires someone who is adaptable.

No two days are the same, your duties will include:

  • supporting a students 1:1 and helping with Maths and English
  • accompanying the students on school trips
  • behaviour management
  • assisting the teacher with classroom activities

The ideal candidate is someone who most importantly wants to work in Education, specifically SEN Education. Qualification and experience are advantageous. Experience can be from a care or support background as well as personal experience. You should also be comfortable with working outdoors and taking part in activities with the children.

Shift pattern: Monday - Friday Hours: 8.30-3.15 Term time only Initially you will be working via Long Term Teachers with the potential to be taken on as a permanent staff member after a trial period.
