Interim Management Accountant job - 9 month FTC with immediate start
We are seeking a qualified finance professional with a background in manufacturing and cost accounting for a 9 month fixed term contract in East Cornwall. In this role, you will play a key part in producing accurate weekly accounts, analysing financial data, and supporting decision-making processes across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and consolidate weekly site accounts accurately and on time
- Analyse material variances, identifying key trends and discrepancies
- Reconcile weekly to monthly consolidation processes
- Provide detailed financial commentary for senior leadership and group stakeholders
- Conduct direct labour variance analysis and collaborate with Operations to drive improvements
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and costing (including new product launches)
- Continuously improve financial systems and processes
- Support the Finance team with ad-hoc projects
Skills and Attributes Required
- Qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent
- Experience in manufacturing and cost accounting
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Advanced Excel skills and overall IT proficiency
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Commercial awareness with a focus on continuous improvement
