As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting a portfolio of clients and being their key point of contact
  • Bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and VAT returns
  • Supporting with month end and year end reporting
  • Payroll and payment runs
  • Supporting junior team members
  • Ad hoc project work

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Good GCSEs in Maths and English
  • AAT level 3 or 4 qualified or working towards your AAT Level 4
  • Previous experience of working in an UK accountancy practice
  • A team player who can use their own initiative
  • Good communication skills
  • Proactive and a willingness to learn
  • Knowledge of accounting software

Salary & Benefits:

£28,000 to £35,000 - Depending on qualifications and experience
