We are looking for Electricians to join our team and play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on various marine vessels, as well as on the facility itself. You will be responsible for ensuring these operate efficiently and safely. Who we are: A&P Falmouth is one of the largest ship-repair facilities in the UK, we provide a complete range of marine repair services thanks to our on-site engineering, electrical, paint and fabrication workshops. What you will do: As an Electrician at A&P Falmouth, you will be responsible for installing, You will also: Install, maintain and repair electrical systems on marine vessels and within our facility. Conduct inspections, diagnose electrical issues and implement effective solutions to ensure the safety and functionality of electrical systems on both vessels and within the shipyard facilities. Interpret electrical diagrams and technical specifications to plan and execute electrical installations and repairs accurately. Collaborate with engineers, project managers and other tradespeople within the shipyard to coordinate electrical work, ensuring timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards and regulations. What we are looking for: You will have completed a recognised apprenticeship or vocational training in Electrical Engineering (e.g. NVQ level 3 or equivalent) Proven experience as a Marine/Industrial Electrician or in a similar role working in shipyard environments and/or on marine vessels would be great. Youll have strong knowledge of marine electrical systems including wiring, lighting, communication systems, navigation equipment and power generation systems. Youll have excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently and effectively. Youll be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Youll have excellent teamwork and communication skills, vital for success in the projects we deliver. Youll need to be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in outdoor conditions.
