We are working with a household name in the Food industry to assist with their recruitment of an Engineering Team Leader.Working hours;18:30 to 06:45Working 7 days out of 14Week 1 Tuesday to FridayWeek 2 Wednesday to FridayAbout The Role:To organise and lead Engineers in the shift teams during the execution of engineering activities. To liaise with production personnel to initiate and co-ordinate engineering work. To work on, repair and maintain the electrical and Mechanical systems of all plant and equipment.To achieve engineering objectives, and to help identify areas for improvement, which will increase overall equipment effectiveness and plant availability.Responsibilities:* Improve and promote safety across the site, operating in accordance with CompanyHealth, Safety and Quality standards and processes.* Lead and Manage a Team of multiskilled engineers to maximise their performance and to keepfocus on departments KPIs.* Monitor Electrical and Mechanical systems and allocate and carry out work orders to repair and maintain plant and equipment.* Identify and communicate improvements to machines and processes to increase overallequipment effectiveness, in line with Company Quality and Safety standards.* Organise and allocate PPM work schedules to the engineering teams.* Identify and procure critical plant spares.* Manage and supervise contractors and subcontract labour.* Enforce Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), within factory areas* To provide support and advice to engineers and operational team where appropriate.* To monitor and control labour by allocating work to self and others and by controlling breaks and the time keeping of employees. * Completion of the shift hand - over breakdown board and reports to ensure effective hand over.* To ensure completion and accuracy of Plant MaintenanceExperienceCity & Guilds/Level 3 NVQ minimum in Electrical EngineeringExperience of managing others in an FMCG environment including managing absence and performanceExperience of working in a manufacturing environment ideally with food experienceExperience of fault finding and diagnosis at a fast paceAn ability to work on your own initiative and as a part of a teamSkillsStrong fault finding and diagnostic capabilities (essential)Understanding of PLC and SCADA systems would be beneficial (desirable)You will receive:* Competitive salary with excellent career progression opportunity* An excellent pension, up to a maximum of 7%* Private health scheme* Optional health cash plan* Cycle to work schemePlease click to apply to register your interest.
