A new opportunity has arisen to join a well-respected Social Housing provider in Cornwall on a permanent basis as a retorfit property supervisor. You will be responsible for day-to-day delivery and coordination of a high quality, efficient value for money, customer focused service, ensuring projects achieve the required EPC rating. You will be the main point of contact providing support and guidance to trades carrying out the planned works.Responsibilities would primarily include:
  • The effective and efficient line management of operational staff who are undertaking, servicing, repairs and renewals for social housing properties.
  • Ensure that all works you are managing meet the performance standards of the business in relation to delivery timescale and quality.  
  • Coordinate subcontractors and internal trades to help deliver energy improvements to the existing stock
  • Document energy retrofit works on site as required and report back to the energy efficiently lead
  • Produce and support with EPC assessments on stock housing.
  • Be the first point of contact where problems and issues arise and take responsibility to resolve.  Assist with introducing, monitoring and maintaining key performance indicators that reflects Tenants’ needs and value for Money.
  • Responsibility for specific delegated work area budgets. Ensure the monitoring and financial decision making process is at all times value for money
  • To assist with the programming of works
  • To carry out inspections to determine work requirements, ensure relevant reports and works orders are raised and works progressed in line with policies, procedures, specifications and time targets.
  • To effectively manage and take responsibility for both internal and external service providers including standards of performance and work targets.
  • To effectively investigate and respond appropriately to complaints from customers and clients.
  • High regards for h & s to ensure that all work undertaken on behalf of the company complies with current legislation
The ideal candidate should possess the following experience/skills:
  • Qualification in a relevant building trade to NVQ level 2 or equivalent, or demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience
  • A trade background
  • Ideally hold a Domestic Energy Assessor qualification (DEA) or be willing to undertake the qualification
  • Experience of supervising staff over multi trade disciplines
  • Significant experience within the construction or property maintenance sector
  • Full driving license is required
