A Quantity Surveyor position is available to assist with National Grid substation projects in Cornwall.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role and the contract is set for an initial 6 months with a hybrid work setup.
The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience, inside IR35 regulations.
An ASAP start is required, and responsibilities include preparing contract documents, cost analysis, and risk management.

We have a current opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to assist our client on National Grid substation projects.

As a Quantity Surveyor you will play a crucial role in managing all costs relating to our National Grid substation projects, from initial calculations to final figures. You will seek to minimize the costs of the projects and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.

Set-up:* ASAP start * 6-month initial contract * Cornwall based * Hybrid role - 3 days on site* Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.* Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.* Assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies.* Perform risk, value management, and cost control.* Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks.* Prepare and analyze costings for tenders.* Allocate work to subcontractors.* Provide advice on contractual claims
