A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a commercially astute and 'hands-on’ Financial Controller to join a well established and highly reputable organisation. Established in the 1990s, the client employs 40 people and provides a high level of service to customers in the UK, Ireland and Europe.

This is a key appointment where you will be expected to lead a busy finance department and provide a high level of commercial support to the board and wider operation.

Reporting to the business owners, key duties include:

  • Full preparation of the group management and financial accounts with results to be reported to the board.
  • Finance business partnering - providing financial support to the sales and operations team. Constantly monitor the operating performance through KPIs and detailed financial analysis.
  • Budgeting and forecasting.
  • Cashflow forecasting and foreign currency exchange
  • Highlight and manage commercial risks and opportunities across all client contracts.
  • Produce weekly cost summaries for the customer, including variance analysis and future improvement plans.
  • Producing key product financial analysis and
  • Lead the year-end audit process and tax packs in line with group policies.
  • Promote and embed strong internal controls.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude and excellent communication and relationship management skills. You will be a strategic thinker, trusted advisor to the board and enjoy making a valuable contribution to the future success of the business.
