Your new companyHays Recruitment are proud to be supporting a St Helens-based single-form entry primary school that is easily accessible via public transport as they are looking to recruit a motivated and reliable teaching assistant to support a pupil with SEN on a one-to-one basis within the EYFS class. This is a full-time temporary contract.Your new roleIn your new role as an SEN teaching assistant within this school, you will be supporting a pupil within the EYFS class on a one-to-one basis. You will be this pupils' main point of contact throughout the school day, meeting them at the school gate and walking them back to their grown-up at the end of the day. You will work closely with the class teacher to ensure that all learning and activities are inclusive and accessible for your pupil and implement positive behaviour strategies to encourage their learning and behaviours.What you'll need to succeedTo be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK, recent referenceable experience working with children and young people, as well as:

  • Previous experience working with SEN
  • An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent supporting teaching and learning qualification is advantageous but not essential
  • Be able to commit to a long-term contract
