Role Overview

On behalf of our well established Manufacturing client, Acorn By Synergie is seeking a full-time, on-site Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Health (QESH) & Continuous Improvement Manager to join their clients team. This role will lead and oversee quality, environmental, safety, and health management systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Quality & Compliance Management

  • Develop and maintain quality standards, procedures, and specifications.
  • Regularly review and update procedures to align with current guidelines.
  • Document procedural changes accurately.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure quality standards through external audits.
  • Ensure all processes comply with safety, legal, and applicable national or international standards.
  • Conduct quality inspections and audits.

Health & Safety Management

  • Perform safety risk assessments for new projects.
  • Review work procedures to maintain industry safety standards.
  • Prepare and file reports for accidents and safety incidents.
  • Stay current with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct in-house training sessions on health and safety.
  • Track incident metrics and implement improvements based on findings.

Continuous Improvement (CI)

  • Lead the CI team, collaborating with Senior Leadership to implement a Continuous Improvement program aligned with business priorities.
  • Oversee corporate improvement initiatives to ensure high standards across the organisation, utilising best practices and appropriate change methodologies.
  • Establish and facilitate a steering committee with Senior Management to identify, drive, and manage CI projects to achieve targeted savings and improvement goals.

Qualifications

  • ISO 9001:2015 Auditor level certification.
  • ISO 14001 Auditor level certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma training.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Quality Management.
  • Ideally Lead Auditor trained, NEBOSH, and IOSH qualified.
