About Us:

SEND Inclusion Support is currently in search of a committed and empathetic SEND Teaching Assistants to join the staff team in a lovely mainstream school in St Helens. This is on a long term temp basis with the potential to become permanent.

Role Overview:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students with diverse needs. Collaborating closely with teachers and other professionals, you'll provide one-to-one and small group support, assist with accessing the curriculum, and foster independent learning. Your empathetic and caring approach will create a positive and inclusive atmosphere, ensuring that every child feels valued and empowered to learn.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate previous experience in supporting students with SEND and/or SEMH.
  • Possess effective communication skills and the ability to establish professional relationships with students and parents/carers.
  • Exhibit enthusiasm, commitment, and flexibility to make a positive impact on students' educational journey.
